Besides Bogor, the other main destination around Jakarta is the city of Bandung. The city is located on 140 km southeast of Jakarta. It also the largest city in the southern part of Java Island. Nowdays, among Gedung Sate area there’s office of West Java provincial government, Pakuan Building which is the official residence of the governor of West Java province, Dwi Warna Building or Indische Pensioenfonds is now used by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia for Regional Office XII Directorate General of Treasury Bandung, Villa Isola is now used Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Hall Station or Bandung Station and The Bandung Grand Post Office.
Bandung also has several art public spaces such as museums, theater and galleries including Gedung Merdeka, the venue of the Asian-African Summit in 1955, the Museum of Sri Baduga, which was established in 1974 using former old buildings of Kawedanan Tegallega, Museum Geologi Bandung, Wangsit Mandala Siliwangi Museum, Barli Museum, Cultural Center Foundation Building, Indonesia Sues Building formerly became the place of Ir. Soekarno conveyed his phenomenal pledoi (Indonesia Menggugat) during the Dutch colonial era, Taman Budaya Jawa Barat (TBJB) and Rumentang Siang.
