Belitung, or Belitong (the local language, taken from the name of a sea slug), formerly known as Billiton is an island off the eastern coast of Sumatra, Indonesia, flanked by the Straits of Gaspar and the Karimata Strait. The island is famous for its white pepper (Piper sp). Belitung Island is divided into 2 districts namely Belitung Regency, capitalized in Tanjung Pandan, and East Belitung, capital of Manggar.

Most of the inhabitants, especially those whose  living in the coastal areas, are very familiar with rich marine life. Various processed foods made from fish into the daily diet of the inhabitants. The wealth of the sea became one of the livelihoods of Belitung people. Natural resources that are not less important for the life of the people of Belitung is tin. Tin mining business has started since the time of the Dutch East Indies.

Batu Mentas located at the foot of a sharp mountain, has tremendous potential as an integrated tourism destination. The natural beauty of both its clear river and its thick forest, the uniqueness of flora and fauna, the life of the local community with the center of pineapple and pepper garden, and also the uniqueness of traditional cultural arts as well as the expertise of its people to make wicker and rattan craft, are very potential aspect if properly managed and have tremendous positive impact both for the environment and people welfare improving.   • Bird Island
  • Kepayang Island for a buffet lunch and break
  • Batu Berlayar Island
  • Sand Island
  • Back to Tanjung Kelayang Beach
  • Back to hotel and take a rest
  • Dinner at local restaurant

  • Sand islands and rock islands Sailing is a mini island formed from sand dunes in the middle of the sea, but this island can only be visited when the sea water receded, because if the tide water the island is covered by sea water
